The traditional first ride at the Chateau is a trip to the beach and the closet is Pirou Plage to the west. The problem was that no one told the weather. As a result we tried got as far as Périers and decided that maybe the Chateau was a better place to spend the day
Monday took us to Carentan along the still wet cycle path and we ended the day with a communal buffet where everyone contributed
Regneville on the coast was our target for Tuesday after which we headed for Coutances
Thursday was sunny, so Pirou Plage was back on the agenda
Friday, we took the cars to the north to check out the American Landing Beach and museum at Utah Beach
